After you have installed Minecraft, create a username by tapping on the tools icon to access the settings. Change the name from the default “Steve” to one of your own choosing. Use letters and numbers, no special characters.
Your username is the name other players on the Lifeboat Network will see while you’re playing. Make it unique because you can’t use a name that’s already registered.
* ADD THE LIFEBOAT SERVERS
From the home screen, tap PLAY, then NEW, and then tap on the PLUS/ARROW button. Now you are ready to add a Lifeboat server.
After inputting the details shown above, tap “ADD SERVER”
From the Minecraft: Pocket Edition’s home screen, tap PLAY, then tap on the Lifeboat server entry in the list. The game will spend a few moments building terrain and connecting to the server (if you can’t connect, visit here). You will then be placed in the server lobby.
* CONNECT!
Once connected, if your username is already registered by you or someone else, the game will tell you to login or choose a different name.
Register a username for the first time, tap on the chat icon and enter: /register.
You will then be prompted for a password and an email. Use a real email– You will need to use it if if you ever forget your password, so be sure it is valid. By the way, we recommend short, but difficult to guess passwords. This is not online banking.
The next time you join the server you will have to login to your account. In order to do so, tap on the chat icon and type your password.
If you just registered then you are already logged on. The game will not show your password to other players.
* START PLAYING!
In-game commands allow you to check the status of your account, pay players, register, and other such functions. All commands are activated by typing in chat. To access a list of commands available to you, use /help in-game.
The details of play depend on the game type. Check this site, our forums, and your friends.
